The Mountain Goat Series Full Metal Jacket 1 ton tie rod end is a direct fit to the taper of both the tie rod and drag link connections on the Jeep JK Wrangler. These are the tie rod ends that we use on our SKU JK-TR-1375 Extreme Duty Tie Rod and our SKU JK-HSDL-1375 Extreme Duty High Steer Drag Link for the Jeep JK Wrangler.

Our 1 ton tie rod end features complete metal-on-metal construction that offers extremely high wear resistance. There are no nylon liners to blow out like the factory tie rod ends have, and unlike the factory tie rod ends, our tie rod end features a grease fitting so it can be properly serviced.

The SAE4135 chrome moly ball stud features grease grooves that allow for complete lubrication at all times. The G3506 high carbon steel internal spring maintains pressure which keeps the joint tight as it wears. The forged and heat treated SAE1045 housing features 7/8 in.-18 left hand threads that do not neck down at the base like a factory style GM 1 ton tie rod end does. This eliminates any stress risers and makes our forged housing VERY strong.

Universal Application Information: These Full Metal Jacket 1 ton tie rod ends can be used on MANY applications for those who are building custom tie rods, drag links, etc. The specifications you need to know are - Taper Length: 0.808 in., Taper Major Diameter: 0.773 in., Taper Minor Diameter: 0.664 in., Taper Included Angle: 7.15-Deg (1.5 in./ft.), Thread Pitch: 0.875 in.-18 Left Hand, Thread Length: 2.75 in., Center of Ball Stud to end of Threads: 4.25 in., Overall Length: 5.25 in..

For a properly matched spindle mounting hole you can use a 7.15º (1.5 in./ft.) tapered reamer such as our SKU TR715-15, or you can drill a 53/64 in. hole and then insert our SKU HSSA1 304 stainless steel spindle adapter sleeve.

Fitment Note: These won't work on the Jeep JK factory drag link or tie rod. These are replacement ends for use on our SKU JK-TR-1375 Tie Rod or SKU JK-HSDL-1375 Drag Link for the Jeep JK.
