The 6F24 six-speed automatic is a transverse front-wheel-drive unit, and it is specified for SP-IV/M fluid only. This is not a place to substitute a universal multi-vehicle ATF, because the friction characteristics of the fluid are what the shift calibration is built around, and the wrong fluid shows up as harsh or slipping shifts. This is the genuine Mopar fluid called out for that transmission.
Fluid Specifications:
- Meets the SP-IV/M automatic transmission fluid specification.
- For 6F24 six-speed automatic transmissions in front and all-wheel-drive applications.
