The ABS control module reads wheel speed data and commands the hydraulic unit to release and reapply pressure at individual wheels. A failed module leaves the ABS and traction control lights on with the system disabled, so ordinary braking still works but nothing manages a skid. This is the module portion, supplied to be paired with the hydraulic unit.
