This pump is the right choice if you have a later model front cover on your 5.0L or 351 engine. This is known as the 1994-95 design and is also shared by Ford Motorsports front covers. In addition, this has been the design chosen universally for front covers purchased with belt cam drive systems.
If you are using a stock style front cover you will need the back plate to complete the system. If you have an aftermarket cam belt drive system, you will not need the back plate. This pump is suitable for all known belt drive systems including Danny-B, Yates, Jesel and Race Master.

Technical Specifications: - Belt Drives: Standard SBF design will clear Jessel belt drives and comparable belt drive systems. NOTE: If you are running a cam belt drive on your small block Ford, you will most likely need the WP173 pump. This pump will fit Yates, Danny B, Jessel, and Race Master belt drives.
- Distributer Belt Drives: Spacers will be necessary to clear belt drive distributor systems.
- Finishing The System: This pump is supplied complete with gaskets and hardware but without the inlet fitting and optional back plate. The fitting needs to be ordered according to the size of the lower radiator hose. A back plate will be required in all applications using a stock style timing cover.
- Amperage draw: Under normal use the pump will draw 6-7 amps.
- Overall Height Dimension: The standard pump is 6.10' long from the mounting surface to the tip of the pump.
- Pump Weight: This application weighs 5.6 lbs.
Additional Notes:The standard 35 GPM pump is suitable for normally aspirated engines up to 650HP. Supercharged, turbocharged and high compression, high horsepower applications should use the 55GPM High Flow pump only. This model does not accept heater or bypass hoses as a standard.
The small block Ford engine has gone through several design changes at the factory since its inception. There are two different 35 GPM pump models that may be right for your engine.
