JEGS 23620 Bolt-on oil pump pickup retainer for 1955-1997 Chevrolet 262, 265, 283, 302, 307, 327, 350 & 400 small block engines was developed as an easy solution to hold the tube into the oil pump. It's simple to install, no more welding the pickup tube: all you need to do is bolt this retainer in place, and you are all set. Installing this bracket will eliminate the chances of the pickup tube falling off, which can cause oil starvation and possible catastrophic engine failure.
