Recommended Dwell Table

FuelTech 5001100012 IGN1A Smart Ignition Coil:

• Integrated ignition ignitor eliminates the need for an external ignition module
• Maximum dwell time of 9 ms for maximum output from the coil for short periods of time under high load or higher boost levels
• Only use maximum dwell with an ECU that controls dwell under maximum load and boost conditions
• Dwell time of 5 ms is recommended for normal driving
• 40 Amp fuse recommended for every 4 coils
• Resistor style spark plugs are recommended when using inductive smart coils
• Use with FuelTech PRO600 Gen II V8 Complete Harness for the FT600 ECU for a complete plug-and-play wiring solution
