Cork and Rubber Steel Core Valve Cover Gasket, 0.250 in. for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Boss 302, 351C, 351M, 400 V8
Fel-Pro 1636 is a pair of Performance CorkLam valve cover gaskets built for Cleveland and Modified-family V8 engines where thin gaskets can leak under high vacuum or blowout-prone conditions. The steel-core cork and rubber construction gives performance Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury Boss 302, 351C, 351M, and 400 applications a thicker sealing surface with added valve cover clearance for upgraded valvetrain parts.
Fel-Pro 1636 Features:
- Cork and rubber facing material is chemically and mechanically bonded to both sides of a steel core for a stable sealing surface.
- .250 in. thickness improves compressibility and helps maintain clamp load in demanding performance engine use.
- Extra-thick construction can provide additional space between the valve cover and valvetrain, useful when performance valvetrain upgrades need more clearance.
- Designed for high-horsepower applications where high vacuum or gasket blowout can make ordinary valve cover sealing difficult.
- Fits Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury V8 applications using Boss 302, 351 Cleveland, 351 Modified, and 400 Cleveland or Modified-family engines.
Includes:
- Pair of valve cover gaskets
Steel-core gaskets may not fit valve covers with a gasket retaining lip. These gaskets are commonly intended for racing or uncontrolled non-emissions vehicle use.
